Issue: A major metropolitan publication included content in an online story which graphically described a method several people had used to take their lives. The original text had the potential to provide step-by-step instructions vulnerable readers could follow to take their own life.
Result: StigmaWatch made contact with the publication and voiced our concerns. The article was swiftly edited in line with the Mindframe guidelines and the editorial team thanked StigmaWatch for our assistance.
